How are you succesfully negotiating deals?

Main Post: Okay, this will seem trivial. BUT...I go to a dealer website. Look for a vehicle I like. I see it listed at 50,000 MSRP then an incentive or several, maybe one for 500, one for 1500. When you start negotiating, you’re focused on getting a reduction based on the listed MSRP? Then once established, an …

CHEAP hotel deals? Need help but can’t ask for assistance

Main Post:

I’m going through a lot right now. My fiancé cheated, my landlord evicted me, my best friend that I was supposed to move in with was the one that cheated with her.

Basically I just need one night in a hotel. We have to be out of the house in the morning, and my car won’t be ready for the trip back to stay with my parents until at least Sunday. I don’t have any family here and the “friends” I had were all there and didn’t prevent the infidelity.

Not asking for assistance. I have a part time job so I know I’m ahead and don’t need it as much as others. I’m just looking for really good deals.

I’m in the Odessa, TX, USA area. My budget is probably like $20 unfortunately but anything under $45 I’ll at least hear out. Thank you.

What would a fae being ask for?

Main Post:

Eventually I want to boot my party into the feywild. What kind of deals would a fae make with mortals? What would they want from a mortal?

Preferably nothing like slaves/lives/hearts/anything considered “evil” like that.

Top Comment: Any time you need story ideas for fey, look to classic fairy tales. You'll have more reference material than you could ever use. Personally I like to go for weird, abstract stuff that might intrigue a powerful fey being. In exchange for a favour, they might take somebody's beauty, or memories of their first love, or their ability to mourn the dead.

I work in the loyalty and retention section of cox ama

Top Comment:

Since we're talking about loyalty and retention, why can't Cox (or any ISP for that matter) offer the same price new customers get to old customers?

Case in point: I have the Ultimate Classic plan (300 down/30 up) and while I'd love to go Gigablast, why do I have to pay $20 or $30 more a month to get it. I've asked and I've never gotten anyone to come down to the $99/mo. new customers pay.

I get the whole need to reel in new customers, but most ISPs pretty much operate with a local monopoly, so that's kind of a lame argument from them.
